MARRIAGE IS NORMAL

Question: Is leading a married life out of sync with pursuit of Spiritual Goal?

Sage TGN:

As stated in the previous Answer, marriage is one of the activities in the world-process and married life could be transformed to bring it into consonance with the objective of life. Once this is realised there would be harmony in the family and weaknesses such as gossip would drop off.

It has been recognised by our Sages that marriage is the natural state for a vast majority of community. A very few would elect to opt out as they are equipped to become World-Teachers. Such examples are Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi, J.Krishnamurti and the like. That is why Jesus the Christ said, “Some may remain unmarried for the sake of the Kingdom of God.” Even these renunciates need shelter and food; and householders have been enjoined on to be of service to those who have renounced the world in order to carry the spiritual light.

Now that I have given a comprehensive Answer to the question what you have to do is to evaluate it and bring it to action whatever is accepted. Once the decision has been made, there should be no reopening of the question. Tiruvalluvar has said that before embarking on an activity one should do all the reasoning and having started the activity if you go back to reconsider that would be flaw in character. Has not Jesus the Christ also said, “No man having put his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the Kingdom of God.”?
