NO TIGER SKIN FOR ADI SANKARAR

It is very wrong to depict Adi Sankarar as seated on a tiger-skin or deer-skin. Adi Sankarar was an embodiment of mercy and he would never have consented to utilise any object coming out of wanton killing, which is what an animal-skin is.

It is equally unpardonable to attribute supernatural activities to Adi Sankarar — such as to say he flew through the air and the like. Actually he used to walk very fast and his disciples, in the initial stages, had to run in order to keep pace with him, until, through close association, they too became fleet of foot.
