FEARLESS ARE THEY

They who had cultivated

sugarcane

and converted its essence

into jaggery –

would they have

even a trace of sorrow

when they see

the bagasse

being set on fire

and reduced to ashes?

Similarly those

that have striven

diligently

to fulfil the purpose

of birth on this Earth –

they would not fear

or grieve in any way

at the inevitable

approach of Death …
